Highway patrol units and fire fighters dispatched to the scene rescued the ostrich in around 20 minutes. The ostrich did not cause any accident and is currently at a nearby firehouse.

The authorities are waiting for information on how the ostrich came to the bridge.

An ostrich was rescued from a highway Tuesday. According to the fire and disaster management agency in South Chungcheong Province, a driver reported that an ostrich was running on Seohae Grand Bridge, a major artery connecting Dangjin and Pyeongtaek, on Tuesday.
